After winning and securing home court advantage on the previous night, LA is back home against the Portland Trailblazers and are hoping to make it two in a row. Unfortunately that wasn't the case because the Blazers came in focused and hoping that they could at least reach that 8^th spot in the western conference. Even though they have three starters out for the season with injuries, this young team weren't intimidated by the number one seed. During the whole game i saw LA struggling a lot with getting the ball down low to Paul and Bynum, and with no inside presence and most of their shots from the out-side, they didn't have much in their favour. The blazers put this one way out of reach for the Lakers by the end of the third quarter but miraculously LA managed to come back and only trail by 3 points. All they needed was a three pointer from one of their shooters but instead passed the ball to their big man Paul Gasol to shoot a three, which was a stupid move since he was 0-6 from downtown and they lost the game. Gasol had 23pts and 12reb in this one and Kobe had 20pts, as for the rest of the Lakers, i think that the need to step it up more and take advantage especially when you have 3 starters from the opponent team out.
